Theories so far reading Crescent City!

Over the past week I have read/listen to the audiobook of, “Crescent City” by Sarah J. Maas. I got all the way up to part III of the book “the Canyon” until I had some major theories about the future plot.

Attention! Warning! This post and video are full of spoilers, if you have not read Crescent City before I'd highly recommend doing that before you continue. This is not a final review or ranking, it is purely me expressing my nerdy theories about an author’s new book I very much admire.

Now that that's out of the way let's continue…

My big theory is: Bryce is a Starborn Princess. It would explain her lack of magical ability even though her father is someone who is very proud of his noble Fae bloodline.

When Bryce, Hunt and her half-brother Ruhn, all sat downstairs of Griffin Antiquities and Ruhn was researching for the missing Horn in old history books. Trying to figure out why the horn was connected to his Starborn power.

what he discovered was that the origin of Starborn was first introduced to the world by a Fae Queen named Theia and Helena, her daughter. The two came to this world from another during something called “the Crossing.”

I believe that Bryce, because she has not made the Drop and become immortal, she has not dived deep enough into her well of power to find that light.

We know that when Bryce went to see the Oracle, when she was around 13, The Oracle looked into her future and was blinded by some great light. Everyone was led to believe that that was a terrible thing, but what if it was just her Starborn power coming forth?

I can't wait to read more and see if my theory holds water. I'll be sure to make an update as I find new information about this.

Let me know what you thing about the book up tell part III in the comments!
